Happy Anniversary RiverSea Gallery!!!
Since 1977 RiverSea Gallery has showcased the magnificent work of countless artists in a variety of mediums including painting, printmaking, photography, sculpture, ceramics, woodworking, glass, fiber arts, and furniture. RiverSea Gallery is the heartbeat of our creative downtown, honoring the artistic community Astoria is known for and giving rise to the unique destination it has come to be. We can't imagine downtown without them, and we invite you to join us in congratulating them on 25 years in our community.

The 1922 Astoria Fire: 100 Years Later
On December 8th, 1922, downtown Astoria burned to the ground. In the aftermath, there was almost nothing left except the Lovell Building, which served as a shelter for all of the displaced merchants and community members while the town was rebuilt. Exactly 100 years later, you can join us in the Lovell Showroom on Thursday, December 8th for a special Panel of Astoria history & fire experts to commemorate that fateful day. Doors to the Lovell Showroom open at 6pm with food & beverages via the Taproom window. Fort George will be releasing "1922", a Smoked Helles Lager in addition to exclusive Taproom food specials. All ages welcome & never a cover!

Bootlegger's Ball
We've partnered with the Lower Columbia Preservation Society, Clatsop County Historical Society and a variety of downtown businesses and building owners to honor the centennial of the 1922 fire and celebrate our community’s resiliency, rebuilding and history. Join us for the 1920’s themed Bootlegger’s Ball featuring Pacific Northwest distillers, local music, art, dancers, a costume contest and more. The Bootlegger’s Ball will provide guests an opportunity to sample various distillers signature cocktails and spirit flights while exploring the “speakeasies” throughout the magnificent Liberty Theater complex. Come watch the dynamic show on the Liberty stage throughout the evening- all happening December 9th at 6pm, grab your tickets here!🎊🍸

New Dining and Shopping Maps
We're working away at a new round of Dining and Shopping Maps- before these go to print, we wanted to make sure that your name, category, location, etc are represented correctly. A draft of the maps can be downloaded/viewed here. Please note that these maps are just for dining and shopping businesses, and unfortunately there is just not quite room to include other kinds of downtown businesses on this particular map. If you see an edit that needs to be made, please send suggestion to shelby@astoriadowntown.com by Wednesday, December 7th.

Support the Christmas Club
When Melba and Tim, also known as 'Mr. Christmas’, started decorating parts of downtown for Christmas in 1996, little did they know they’d be leading a group of over 40 volunteers dedicated to making Astoria’s downtown full of festive lights, decorations and Christmas cheer over 25 years later. ADHDA is the proud fiscal sponsor for the Christmas Club and if you’d like to support them, head this way. 100% of your tax-deductible donation goes directly to making our downtown the beautiful holiday extravaganza we look forward to ever year!🎄🌟

Happy Holidays from the ADHDA
As the year winds down and we remark on how time flies, and with the centennial of the 1922 fire just around the bend, it becomes so important to look around and remind ourselves how precious life is, how important community is. Here at ADHDA we know it takes a village, and there's nowhere else we'd rather be than right here with all of you as we look ahead towards the New Year. We're better when we come together and for that, and for you, we are incredibly grateful🙏
thank-you Michael Shipley for the pic of this 'we'll keep the lights on & hot cocoa flowing' Christmas crew!
