We are excited to let you know that we are holding our Annual Convention in Sacramento between April 20th and April 23rd and wanted to make sure that you know that as a membership organization, each of our local PTAs has between 2 and 5 voting delegates, based on the number of members in that unit.  Our local units are allowed the following voting delegates: 

• 2 voting delegates for membership between 15 and 250, 

• 3 voting delegates for membership between 251 and 500, 

• 4 voting delegates for membership between 501 and 750, 

• 5 voting delegates for membership over 751.

Your PTA currently has <<Total Number of Members>> members that have been reflected in the California State PTA membership database, as of 2/28/2023 and, therefore, currently have the potential to send and have five (5) voting delegates. Voting delegates can be designated in your standing rules by virtue of the office or by a vote of your PTA.  

Both voting and non-voting delegates are welcome to attend convention. 

Individuals indicating that they are your unit’s voting delegate will need to certify/attest that they are your unit voting delegate.  It is important for each unit to designate its voting delegates.

California State PTA Standing Rules allow us to designate the number of voting delegates based on your membership as of March 31, 2023, so if your membership increases to meet the next threshold, you will be entitled to an additional voting delegate. This is an extra reminder to make sure you are all caught upon remitting your members to your council or district.
