Link Cafe  From Tuesday 13th April we will be opening the Link café again. This will initially be an outside or take away café. Opening times are 9.30 am - 12.00 noon. We regret that regardless of the weather we will not be able to allow anyone inside the premises except to use the toilet facilities.

From Tuesday 18th May we will be able to hold the café indoors (as long as government guidelines remain on track)
Communication has, or is on its way out to café volunteers about the rota. If you don't already volunteer on our café rota and would like to, please get in touch with Susan Rishworth or Julie Smith.

Let's hope the sun shines on Tuesdays for the next few weeks!
The Trustees have a Zoom meeting on Wednesday 14 April.  If you have any matters you wish to raise, please contact one of them.  Our Trustees are Richard Arnold, Anne Brown, Christine Cubitt, Margaret Hartley, Sue Huntington, Rev David McAloon and Julie Smith.
Foodbank News  We sent £200 to the Holme Wood Foodbank in March.  Re Helen has written to say how grateful they were.
They have also been able to get food from the Bingley Foodbank as they were sufficiently stocked that they had food available to pass on.  Thanks to Jackie Burrows for making the connection.
The Eldwick Church In The Community Podcast has been on a break. More episodes to come, starting again this week.   If you've not tried the podcast you can find us in the normal places or by typing: into your search bar.

Church in the Garden Request: Appeal for Cardboard & Underlay.
Please can you keep any large cardboard sheets/boxes particularly the sort you may have had on delivery of a new TV, BBQ, etc.  Carpet underlay also needed.  Both can be used for the suppression of weeds.  Bark mulch is then laid on top  - old fashioned but it works!   Thank you Jeanette
Once again Ecclesiastical Insurance is offering to donate £130 to a church for every new home insurance policy which is taken out with them.  This time the offer runs to 31 December 2021.  If anyone is interested in obtaining a quotation the website is or phone 0345 777 3322 and use the promotion code Trust130.
Recruiting a new Minister:  the trustees felt that there is not likely to be much movement in the job market until we are further out of lockdown. Ministers will be reluctant to “let down” their current churches by moving at this difficult time (as was demonstrated by the lack of candidates applying during the last round of recruiting).

Therefore, although we are very keen to recruit someone to The Eldwick Church, we have made the decision to wait a little longer before re-advertising the post. Please continue to pray that God will provide the right person for our church.

Friday Night Bible Takeaway continues at 7.00 pm each week.
