STREAM 1: DIGITAL STORYTELLING

Field Image Showcase

All social work students are invited to participate in the Field Image Showcase to earn practicum hours and share their work in a virtual showcase. 

The deadline to submit is November 16, 2020. All images that meet the criteria will be eligible to be showcased at the Virtual Field Image Showcase on December 1st, 2020

Student-Created Digital Stories 

During the Spring/Summer semester, MSW and BSW students participated in workshops with Dr. Christine Walsh, a TFEL Co-Investigator to create Digital Stories.

STREAM 2: NATIONAL STUDY

RECRUITING!
Virtual Dialogue Circles

The Transforming the Field Education Landscape project is now recruiting social work students (BSW, MSW and Ph.D.) to participate in a Virtual Dialogue Circle (focus group) this month. Participants will contribute to the research by sharing their perspectives on social work field education in Canada.

COVID-19 Student Survey

Preliminary results of The COVID-19 Student Survey have been captured in an infographic. The results will be discussed in a webinar that will be hosted in November. 

Study on the State of Social Work Field Education

The report on the State of Social Work Field Education in Canada is currently being finalized. The final version of the report will be available on the website soon. For more information about the study visit our website.

Field Research Scholars Program

The TFEL Partnership Project is now recruiting for our Field Research Scholars program. Please see the infographic for more information.

Field Research Scholars will receive a $500 honorarium for their participation.

Near-Peer Mentorship Program for Social Work Students

The Near-Peer mentorship program is being offered to students at the UCalgary Edmonton campus. For more information email tfelproject@gmail.com.
Training Resources

Student research assistants are developing new training resources for students, field instructors, and faculty. 1) Practice research training module and 2) International practicum training module.
Virtual Practicum Exhibition

OTHER EVENTS
There are many ways to engage with the TFEL partnership and members around the world throughout the year. The TFEL partnership hosts many events and shares information on events taking place globally of interest to social work field education.
We invite our partners and collaborators to share with us information about their upcoming events and activities. This can be shared in our monthly newsletters.

A panel on Sustainability in Social Work Practice will be organized online. Dr. Julie Drolet of the TFEL partnership will be one of the panellists during the:

Vitrine d’images de stages  


Tous les étudiants en travail social sont invites à participer à la vitrine d’images des stages afin de gagner des heures de stage et de partager leur travail dans une vitrine virtuelle.  
 
La date limite de soumission est le 16 novembre 2020. Toutes les images qui répondent aux critères seront éligibles pour être présemtées lors de la vitrine virtuelle des images de stages le 1er décembre 2020 

Voir les soumissions des étudiants du semestre d’été et regarder un enregistrement de la vitrine d’images des stages

Des histoires numériques créées par les étudiants


Des histoires numériques créées par les étudiants au cours du semestre de printemps/été, les étudiants de la MSW et du BSW ont participé à des atelier avec Dr. Chrsitine Walsh, un co-chercheur du TFEL pour créer des histoires numériques.

Enquête COVID-19
auprès des étudiants 

 

Les résultats préliminaires de l’enquête COVID-19 auprès des étudiants ont été saisis dans un infographie. Les résultats seront discutés lors d’un webinaire qui sera organisé en novembre.

Les étudiants assistants de recherche développent de nouvelles ressources de formation pour les étudiants, les instructeurs de stages et le corps enseignant.
1) Module de formation à la recherche pratique et 2) Module de formation pratique internationale.

Il existe de nombreuses façons de s’engager avec le partenariat TFEL et ses membres dans le monde entier tout au long de l’année. Le partenariat TFEL accueille de nombreux événements et partage des informations sur les événements qui ont lieu dans le monde entier et qui intéressent les stages en travail social. Nous invitons nos partenaires et collaborateurs à partager avec nous des informations sur leurs prochains événements et activités. Ces informations peuvent être partagées dans nos bulletins d’information mensuels.

Un panel sur la durabilité dans la pratique du travail social sera organisé en ligne. Dr. Julie Drolet du partenariat TFEL sera l’un des panélistes lors de la conference :
