Dear Friend,

On World Tuberculosis Day, we take a moment to stand with people living with TB.

We continue to work to ensure that newer improved TB drugs like bedaquiline and delamanid are made available and affordable to all those who need them.

But what is the reality of TB treatment? What are the mental, physical and other demands on people, both of the disease and of the available treatment?

TODAY: Join us for this Facebook Live hosted by MSF in India to hear from people who have experienced TB about what it takes to survive this infectious disease and what barriers need to be overcome to make TB care better for everyone.
“I have been through an agonising journey of being treated with medicines with excruciating side effects, and lost one of my lungs." - Meera Yadav (center), TB activist and survivor of extensively drug-resistant TB (XDR-TB)

BLOG: 5 things we learned in taking on big pharma

Public campaigning is central to our work in opening up access to medicines for all. On World TB Day, Lara Dovifat, one of the team behind our successful #NoMoreTears campaign, describes five lessons she learned when we took on pharmaceutical company, Johnson & Johnson, to demand lower prices for a key lifesaving TB medicine.

ACTION: What can you do?

On this World TB Day, find out here how you can help us get leaders to STEP UP and get all countries to update their TB policies, bringing them in line with lifesaving global norms
